Traditional style coffee shop /deli opportunity, available in a New Heritage Village.


An ideal opportunity for a dynamic, energetic, entrepreneur to be part of a new creation.

De Poort is a new Heritage Village being developed in the heart of the main road , Paarl, close to the N1 Off ramp.

The aim of De Poort is to preserve the Wagon making heritage of Paarl, its cultural history and its associated traditional activities, coupled with upliftment and training in a sustainable manner, to create long term viable business opportunities.

The applicant must have:

Sound knowledge of the catering industry.

A keen interest in, and willingness, to train unskilled people;

The desire to create a new, dynamic and unique business from scratch, with an emphasis on fresh produce;

A fascination for traditional foods and cooking methods;

There is ample space for further expansion. There is a small conference facility on the premises which could create added business opportunities.

The board of De Poort is an open minded group, willing to listen and support innovative ideas within the overall theme of De Poort.

The kitchen /catering unit within the Heritage Centre can be extended in future. The facility will serve visitors, staff and volunteers with traditional food and beverages. The Heritage Centre includes a 25 person capacity seminar room.
